Strawberry Basil Lemonade

Remember that Basil Infused Strawberry Sauce?  Want to know what happens when you add it to lemonade?  I could answer that for you, but I'll let you find out on your own with the recipe below.  In this heat a glass of lemonade is a refreshing respite.

Strawberry Basil Lemonade (Yields 4 glasses)

Ingredients
3 lemons
3 cups cold, filtered water
1/4 cup Basil Infused Strawberry Sauce
1/3 cup sugar (if you tend to have a sweet tooth, make it a scant 1/2 cup instead)
8-12 large basil leaves coarsely chopped, for garnish
4 strawberries, slit down the middle, for garnish

Instructions
1.   Juice the lemons into a pitcher.  If juicing by hand, roll each lemon between your palm and a hard surface before you cut and squeeze it.  Using a slotted spoon remove any seeds from the pitcher.
2.  Add the water and strawberry sauce.  Whisk together
3.  Add the sugar. Adjust to taste, as noted above.
4.  Add ice to four glasses.  Pour the lemonade over the ice and add chopped basil and a strawberry for garnish.

Cheers!

P.S. - I bet adding vodka or citrus vodka would turn this in to a very delicious cocktail.
